  • 2013 Audi A5 Reviews - Autoblog and New Car Test Drive I am really happy with the transmission. It is super smooth, especially compared with the 6-speed DSG on the 2009 A3 FWD we have. It's a shame that some markets get some goodies and some don't. Coming from a Golf TDI, I would have loved to get an A5 2.0 TDI quattro with the 8-speed tiptronic.

2012 Audi A3. DSG clutch upgrade? Because APR didn't come out with DSG software until a year and a half after I got the HPA stuff, so it isn't like I was just trying to mix and match and get flawless results despite a proven solution. APR didn't have anything available, and from what other users of their DSG tune are saying, they still.

Ok so randomly over the last 6 months or so i would get this funny neutral thing happen with the DSG. It's only ever done it about 4 or 5 times but as you were slowing down to go around a corner it would seem to get confused what gear it should be in and when you go to put your foot on the gas it would just rev like it was in neutral, off the gas and back on it's fine and then wouldn't do it again for weeks, just as you have totally forgotten about it it would do it again.
Only ever does it in 'D', when i'm in 'Sport Auto' or 'Sport Manual' it's fine and never misses a beat, so i finally took it to the local VW dealer and got there guru to have a look at it, lucky for me it showed up a few codes and there was a DSG software upgrade available that addresses these type of shift issues, 30mins later the new update was done and so far all good. It actually shifts better now than it ever did so you can really notice the difference. Just thought i would share this with you all just in case anyone had similar issues,
